JOLLY LL.B 2(2017)

Download full HD Movie JOLLY LL.B 2

Jolly is a clumsy lawyer who is faced with representing the most critical court case of his career.

By Murtaza Ali Khan

Featured in IMDb Critic Reviews

Jolly LLB 2, an Indian courtroom comedy-drama film written directed by Subhash Kapoor, is the much anticipated sequel to the 2013 National Award-winning film Jolly LLB, also directed by Kapoor and starring Arshad Warsi. Starring Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla, who reprises his role from Jolly LLB, Jolly LLB 2 presents the story of a small time but street smart Lucknow-based lawyer named Jagdishwar Mishra aka Jolly who works as an assistant for city’s big shot lawyer but dreams of having his own chamber one day. Jolly tricks a pregnant woman to pay for the last installment of his chamber but soon the guilt begins to take a toll on him. Voila, Jolly is a reformed man! What ensues is a good old Bollywood-esque tale of redemption wherein the hero takes it upon himself to ensure that the justice is done to those wronged by the system.

Jolly LLB 2 is a complete Bollywood package except that it begins with a quote from Oliver Stone about how cinema is a reflection of reality and ends with the famous Martin Luther King Jr. quotation: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Subhash Kapoor began his career as a political journalist and it makes sense for him to Stone and King. But he also knows how to make an entertaining film and so in between those two references—one at the beginning and one at the end—he tries his best to serve us with loads of comedy and drama with surprising levels of thrill and suspense. And it certainly works. Here is a smart film that offers a considerable amount of food for thought that’s been cleverly packaged within layers of seemingly uninhibited entertainment.

Jolly LLB 2 succeeds in raising very many pertinent questions about the corrupt state of the government machinery and the increasingly incapacitated judicial system without ever appearing to look serious. Credit should go to Subhash Kapoor and team for achieving this in such a seamless manner. The Kashmir sequences look quite convincing and succeed in capturing the unrest in the valley. Kapoor succeeds in evoking Munna Bhai M.B.B.S during the opening exam cheating sequence. The scenes featuring Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor are pure gold. What a treat it is to witness the two veteran actors doing what they do best in front of a motion picture camera. Their performances are certainly the heart and soul of the movie. While Akshay Kumar delivers another solid performance, he fails to attain the brilliance of Airlift. Also, his comic timing could have been better, given his usual standards. Matching the brilliance of Arshad Warsi’s turn in Jolly LLB was always going to be a challenge for Akshay. But, nonetheless, it’s really heartening to see a superstar like him work so hard to prepare himself for each of his roles. As for Huma Qureshi, her part in the movie just doesn't do justice to her acting talents.

Overall, Jolly LLB 2 is a highly entertaining film that also succeeds in delivering some food for thought in a most unsuspecting manner. The film takes swipes at the judiciary, highlights its complexities and flaws, but ultimately reinstates faith in the judicial system. For a courtroom comedy-drama the film has surprisingly high levels of action and suspense. Jolly LLB 2 is a very well made film but it pales in comparison to Jolly LLB. However, Jolly LLB 2 has something for everyone. It’s certainly a must watch if you are an Akshay Kumar fan. As for others, you wouldn’t be disappointed if you do choose to watch it but don't go expecting another Jolly LLB.

Another great action flick of John.John is taking Bollywood action movies to the next level. This movie indeed has maintained the legacy of Force. The story is pretty good with some nice twists and turns. This movie has also emphasized on the fact that the best patriots of our country are mostly branded as traitors and dishonored after death till date. Apart from these things the new concept of first person action has been brought to the Indian movies for the first time in this movie (watching that was real fun). Sonakshi was good but without her I do not think much difference would have been there in the story line. John is super awesome in angry hunk look but after Vidyut Jamwal cameo role, I would say the villain's role could have been more mean in the sequel which was utterly missing. Overall I would say it is a good movie and would perfectly satisfy the appetite for all the action freaks out there. The best part of the movie is that it is not spoiled by unnecessary romantic songs. I would conclude by saying I am eagerly watching for our desi Arnold's next action movie.

Offers an action packed sequences
8/10

After a successful first attempt on action genre, John is giving only these type of films in which he should meant to be. Rocky Handsome was an action-thriller, which will be accepted by the viewers. And this time, the sequel of a hit action movie, is going to be bigger and better for sure.

Abhinay Deo, who gave Game and Delhi Belly, is not a known name in the audience. But, if I say that he was the director of the television series 24, than most probably all the viewers will recognize him. So, there isn't any doubt in his capabilities in action goner. But, to build up a story which can withstand with action sequences is the most important.

One guy is on a mission, in which he is killing RAW agents in China. But, one agent sends a secret message to Yash (John) before his death. So, Yash convinces RAW head to allow him to find out the villain along with one RAW officer, KK (Sonakshi). And how they manage to catch that guy, and what made that guy to do these violence are the questions which will be given in the film.

Sonakshi is good in a supporting role. She is not doing some extraordinary, but choosing these kind of films is somewhat good for her, as she is back in action after Akeera. Raj Babbar, Fardhad and Adil have cameos. Tahir Raj Bhasin as a bad-guy (Shiv) again proves that he is a new-generation villain. After giving a solid performance in Mardani, he gives another best. Hope to see his name in the category of best actor in a negative role this year.

John Abraham has to do only these kind of films. He is perfectly suitable for action hunk roles. And now a days, he is also producing such films. So, I think John will run like a horse of a race, and will stay for long.

It's very essential to keep in mind that action film has to be more speedy, more groovy. In which, a side angle of love, or even boring songs can disturb the tempo. So, the director has kept these in his mind and gives us just an item song. Believe me, that was a dull moment. Even, one background portion in Amaal's voice has to be played when Genelia Deshmukh makes an appearance. That was good.

I like all the chases. With a perfectly suitable background score, one can feel the sequences. Especially, the action sequence in an apartment where Shiv is playing a mouth-organ, and both the actors are fighting. That tune is a highlight of the film till interval. The other highlight of the film is John, uplifting a Mercedes. After lifting a bike in the first part, John is lifting a Mercedes. And I've heard that he will keep doing this in the upcoming installments of Force.

So, action lovers, just brace yourself and go for it. In climax, you can see the camera working like a counter-strike game, featuring only a loaded gun in a hero's hand, who is destroying the bad-men. In a film, I think this is a new concept, and I appreciate this thinking.

I've seen some ratings, and they are above 8. So, people are loving it. Therefore, just go for it, you will not be disappointed.

Set in Paris, Befikre is the free-spirited, contemporary love story of Dharam and Shyra, two young people who believe in living life to the fullest.Director: Aditya ChopraWriters: Aditya Chopra (story and screenplay), Aditya Chopra (dialogue) | 1 more credit »Stars: Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor, Julie Ordon | See full cast & crew »

Buffoonery Of Eiffel Towerian Proportions ♦ Grade F
2/10
Author: Tejas Nair from the Entertainment Capital of India

Aditya Chopra has issues with understanding love and relationships. He first started throwing up his ideas in 1995, and it took him close to two decades to finally get the people to understand that his interpretations are awfully wrong. Clearly evident in this ritzy romance drama.

Shyra (Vaani Kapoor) is a young, carefree, and promiscuous French woman born to Indian restaurateurs while Dharam (Ranveer Singh) is a comedian from Delhi who has final-stage satyriasis. They bump into each other at a rave party in Paris and immediately indulge in wham bam thank you ma'am. Dharam hopes that he can maybe start scoring, starting from Shyra, but is internally crestfallen to learn that the fun they had the previous night was just a one-time thingummy for Shyra, a professional travel guide who moonlights as garcon at her parents' rotisserie. The 2-hour game-play between these youngsters misrepresented as today's youth is what the film is essentially about.

Viewers are ushered into the film with a montage of various couples kissing and groping each other in the beautiful locales of France. As we move further in the non-linear story-line, Singh comes in as this joker, summoned by his Indian friend to add elan to the latter's comedy club-cum-cafe. But, we mostly see him as a nudist trying to get it on with Shyra, who has terrible taste in fashion, considering her nationality. The story-line tries too hard to showcase the youngsters' mentality when it comes to romance in the free world, but forgets to take all aspects into consideration. If the first half is foreplay followed by carnal knowledge, the second half is post-coital clean up, which is both gross and non-pleasurable.

Dating in the 21st century is everything NOT like one sees in Befikre. Instead, the film is a personal diary of director Chopra who chose to market it as something about no-strings-attached relationships. There is, however, some humor in the drama, contributed mainly by Singh. Albeit, there are too many improbable situations here, which makes the whole shindig slightly unbelievable for the viewers. Dharam shares an apartment with two homosexual women, while Shyra observes licentiousness while living with her parents. Convenience looks good in a store, not in a film. So much, that it flip flops from one idea to another, and often churns out dialogues pinpointing certain stereotypes and gives out critiques which do not pass muster. Today's youth are impulsive, which is not a novel thing about them, but writer Chopra thinks of it as a paradigm shift as we move ahead in life.

With very less background data about the protagonists, the film largely engages in differentiating them as Dilliwala and Pariswali, as if trying to tell that the film may not be universally relevant. Which is true to some extent. The makers also try to bridge the gap between how romance is perceived in India and elsewhere in the West, but falls through, because there is no consideration of the complexities and stigmas that come with it. They fail to realize that casual relationships are not just practiced in Paris and New York, but also in Connaught Place and South Bombay. Also, I'm surprised how the Indian CBFC even cleared the film for the morally-virgin Indian consumers.

Sort of a reverse primer for marriages, the film can most relevantly be described as the less faithful version of Karan Johar's exaggerated snooze-fest, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). While that took a distorted look at relationships, this one here take the on-off approach. It refutes its own claims of how romantic relationships nowadays are - proclaiming that they are fleeting at one point, and then describing it as a bond at another. All in all, it blows its chances at depicting how hook- ups affect people's lives, because while love takes the backseat, lust hops in to take care of the wheel.

Singh marginally steals the limelight with his stronger performance, while Kapoor is let down by her costume and a weird air. Their mannerisms may be a reason to ignite vanity, but their glossy performances fail to ante up the narrative. For a moment, one may even think that the actors are starring in a ridiculously long advertisement by the France tourism board, but then chuck that thought because a French ad would have more French in it than Hindi.

Of course, there are some minor takeaways from the film, which I am leaving alone for your individual capabilities to grapple. Nonetheless, there is one dialog from Shyra's parents that Chopra gets right: "These days parents don't bring up their children, it's the other way around." Don't get excited, because even this is spoken in Hindi.

BOTTOM LINE: Aditya Copra's fourth film, "Befikre" is like a fancy boutique situated in a romantic city. It sells everything from horseplay to foreplay, targeted at the YOLO generation and endorsed by good-looking people. However, by the time you fill your cart with one or two good pieces and go to the counter to check out, you take a glimpse at the backside storeroom, and repulse in fear because you realize you have been duped by men and women who want to set bad examples. Skip for life, or use as a travel guide when you visit Paris.

Can be watched with a typical Indian family? NO

Spoilers Alert!!

What a waste of time. Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor play the roles of Dharam and Shyra respectively in this so called movie Befikre. One can understand why this movie got such a name coz the actors in this movie were befiker about the thrash plot and same old story. Ranveer Singh thinks that he is a great actor well he is not. Overacting all the way. Cosmetic Surgery cannot save you from bad acting Vaani Kapoor. The only things that stand out in this film were the locations, which include Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower, Latin Quarter, River Seine, Notre Damme, etc... Aditya Chopra is a very good director he shouldn't do such movies. Had a huge disappointment after watching this movie from such a wonderful director. Songs were good but some were unnecessary. Nothing can save this movie. It's a flop...

If you like kissing, sex, idiotic childish actors, and movies which show a Western lifestyle in an Indian film then go watch this. Otherwise let it flop and save your hard earned money. Aditya Chopra has let the Yash Raj name down. Big big disappointment. Didn't expect a big name like his to produce and direct such rubbish. Yash Chopra built the brand and now Aditya Chopra is destroying it. Ranveer is an over rated childish and talentless actor. His dad paid money to get him into the industry. This film has more kissing scenes than Emraan Hashmis career. Walked out before interval after wasting my money and feeling embarrassed with my partner.

I found myself really enjoying SULTAN. Ali knows how to push all the right buttons to keep the audience engaged. Ali's writing and directing are flawless. This is without a doubt Ali's best ever movie. Nushki is an acting diva and she is making her way to be the next great actress since Aishwarya Rai. I love love love Nushki, I truly adore her and always will. She's my love ;) xxx I must confess that I could watch Nushki in almost anything, but here she really delivers a performance that may be her best yet . . . and I've seen almost all of her work. Nushki elevates herself to a league of her own. She is a beautiful girl who is talented enough when playing "regular" characters, such as the journalist in "PK". But as a high profile corporate executive in "NH10" and in this film as a musclebound wrestler, she takes it to a level most female actors couldn't. You can tell how hard she worked to make this role believable because when she wrestles you forget it is Anushka Sharma in the ring. SK is always a pleasure to watch. Here his character's sizzling chemistry with Nushki is completely adorable and that moments of sweetness will surely MELT your heart. SK gives an incredible performance that will undoubtedly propel his career. Overall it is one motion picture that should never be missed nor put aside when selecting movies to be seen on a weekend. SULTAN is a sure winner for all.

Movie and Business Rating: 5 star***** IT IS HUGE HUGE HUGE! That's ‪#‎Sultan‬. Unstoppable tsunami from ‪#‎SalmanKhan‬ this Eid. Let the celebrations begin!!! :) :) Probably Salman's biggest ever. Possibly India's biggest ever!! That's #Sultan :) There is something about #SalmanKhan. Either you love him for his charm, screen presence or bold attitude or you hate him due to his controversial remarks or brush with law but you cannot deny the fact that he is one superstar whose stardom and films are not impacted at all(morning shows were ‪#‎housefull‬ at 8 AM everywhere for "Sultan" .. unbelievable.. isn't it ???) at the box office. Now coming to the performances, it is #SalmanKhan all the way. #SalmanKhan is #Sultan and #Sultan is #SalmanKhan :) I cannot imagine anyone else playing the character of "Sultan" and that is where ‪#‎Salman‬ proved his mettle. The actor deep dives into the character as if it was tailor-made for him and gives his best. ‪#‎AnushkaSharma‬ as Aarfa is equally competent and shines in her well- defined character :) ‪#‎AmitSadh‬ ( the guy from "‪#‎KaiPoChe‬") finally gets the opportunity to show his acting skills and the actor does well. Last but not the least, ‪#‎RandeepHooda‬ will blow your mind with impeccable performance. The actor who plays Anushka's father does a fine job as well. :) :) ‪#‎AliAbbasZafar‬'s direction is superb. He has kept the narrative style simple and extremely entertaining and engaging. Also, his direction caters as much to the classes as to masses, as much to the ladies as to men, as much to the old as to the young. ‪#‎Music‬ is a major plus point. ‪#‎Jag‬ Ghoomeya, ‪#‎BabyKoBassPasandHai‬', ‪#‎440Volt‬ and Title track are hit songs. ‪#‎SultanReview‬ #Sultan ‪#‎SultanBlockbuster‬ ‪#‎SultanAtCarnivalCinemas‬ Overall, The film has got 'B-L-O-C-K-B-U-S-T-E-R' written all over it. The movie is a fictional sports drama but the the way it has been executed it seems real. Salman Khan and Eid has became synonymous in India. This movie is not only highly recommended for the Salman fans rather all those who love to watch brilliant mainstream cinema. Salman Anushka looks great as couple and at the same time very intense and cute. Music is add on to the movie. Specially the Rise Of Sultan is amazing track. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is always a lucky charm for Salman Khan. Vishal Shekhar first got the opportunity to compose for Salman Khan Movie. Movie will make you laugh, cry and give you goose bumps. You will never feel the movie flat because its all about ups and ups. Salman Khan is like old wine, getting better and better with the time. So, its a Super Entertaining YRF's ,Salman Khan's Film. So, must watch it. i give 9/10. I cut one marks because i love to watch Salman Khan in even bigger and greater role on next Eid.

OK, I rarely write movie reviews so often, but felt for this movie I had to. There is absolutely nothing to write about this movie except the good songs. The chemistry between the lead actors was pale. Dialogues were damn cheesy, the lead pair are talking for the first time on phone without even properly introduced and the are talking about kids, marriage n stuff. Like who does that without knowing each other. Except Nasrudeen Shah everyone seemed like Siri is saying its dialogues in Hindi.

Totally crap movie. Should have gone for Dangal again (saw it once). I feel movies made without passion end up like this. Feel Shradha Kapoor and Aditya Kapoor looked so immature throughout the movie and their conversations were so fake. Enough said, go at your own risk.

The epidemic of passable movies continue
2/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

The trend of making remakes is very hot right now in Hollywood. Some of them are good, some of them are average and many fail but if you look closely you'll see one common thing. All the movies are remakes of very old movies. Now if you apply common sense, you'll ask that why do film-makers remake old movies, right? Because they think they can improve upon the originals because of the technical advancements we have achieved throughout the years. Now see what the Hindi Film Industry does. They remake a movie which was made one year ago. I'll try to elaborate this throughout the review.

SCREENPLAY/STORY - OK Jaanu is a remake of the Tamil movie O Kadhal Kanmani(2015). I had seen the movie then because there was a major uproar about it because it was Mani Ratnam's movie. The story follows Adi and Tara who fall in love, live together in an elderly couple's house. The elderly couple is portrayed by Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson. On observing their unconditional love, Adi and Tara understand the gravity of their relation and eventually give in to their love- wala feelings. That's it. It was an average story then and 2 years later it is still an average story, but this is bogged down by the extremely bland dialogue and exposition. It almost felt like in the screenplay where there should have been one full-stop, there there were two full-stops. Due to that the conversations were missing a beat every-time. It seemed very artificial. I maybe nitpicking but this keeps happening throughout the entire length of the movie. Now as Naseeruddin Shah is a veteran actor, he makes the dialogue sound real but it sticks out like a sore thumb every time there is a conversational scene between Aditya and Shraddha.

DIRECTION - Shaad Ali made Saathiya(2002) and Bunty aur Babli(2005) and after that took a complete nose-dive with flops like Jhoom Barabar Jhoom(2007) and Kill Dil(2014). No need to be surprised why that happened. Where Saathiya(2002) was penned by Mani Ratnam, Bunty aur Babli(2005) was penned by Aditya Chopra and Jaideep Sahni. I have been watching educational videos regarding film-making and it is difficult. I am being honest here, it is very difficult but when you are remaking something, you can clearly see where the problems were, right? Why repeat them scene by scene? The camera-work is bland and sometimes just off. Just off. Even the scenes with false tension are predictable. It should be unpredictable to the characters as well as the audience or else what is the point. Then comes the songs and the background score. It is everywhere like the Illuminati. Not a single shot has silence. Silence allows the characters, the set-up to settle in the eyes of the audience. The characters are jumping from one song to another, one frame to another so obviously the characters feel plastic and I couldn't even connect. People were leaving the hall before half-time and it is a movie with young, beautiful people who are in love. Bravo!

ACTING - Probably the worst performance yet by the leads and they have been in Aashiqui 2. So that's saying something. I am sure they are good actors but they were absolutely emotionless here. There was no chemistry, at all. On top of that there was the background score which was screaming, "FEEL THIS! FEEL THAT!". Arre! let the actors emote, please. Naseeruddin was great as usual. The actress who played Adi's sister-in-law had one scene and she nailed it. Leela Samson was bland too but I couldn't figure it whether it was because she was playing the character with Alzheimer's disease or not.

FINAL VERDICT - The only redeemable factor is how beautiful Shraddha Kapoor was looking in this movie. Go on judge me, see if I care. As far as the movie goes, wait for it to come on DVD or TV. If you want to sleep then you can probably go. You'll have a good sleep because of the 2 hour run-time. You can suffer a minor cardiac arrest due to the horrendous rendition of "Humma Humma", other than that it is a complete snooze fest. I am sure nobody from the Hindi Film Industry will be reading this but please, if you're spending so much then make a good movie because if you've nothing new to say then why say anything at all.

OK Jaanu lacks the flow, passion and magic of its original version O Kathal Kanmani.
4/10
Author: binducherungath from India
14 January 2017
*** This review may contain spoilers ***

OK Jaanu, a romantic film directed by Shaad Ali, is the remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil film O Kathal Kanmani. The screenplay and story is by legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The original version was a box office hit. Mani Ratnam had returned to romance genre after almost a decade with OK Kanmani. He drew a parallel in his movie through his protagonists – an old couple and modern-age couple. Two different perceptions were shown in the movie, without an effort to get preachy or judgmental. At one side, age-old concept of marriage and romance is shown – commitment for the whole life. On the other hand, contemporary romance and live-in relationship was shown, where the couple felt very much in love but did lack the confidence / trust to commit to each other. Mani Ratnam did not try to convey that one is superior to the other, but he very subtly conveyed that one has to be certain about his or her relationship, commitment definitely strengthens the relationship. O Kadhal Kanmani was a very light-hearted movie. It made one feel like falling in love. As far as remakes are concerned, it is bound to draw comparison to the original version in every aspect. Those who have seen the original may feel that the Hindi version is not at par with the same, but for those who have not seen the original, may find OK Jaanu enjoyable. When a remake is made, the filmmaker does face challenges – either it has to be at par with the original or at least a bit superior to the original. And, that is where, OK Jaanu falters. It has nothing new to offer, it is exactly similar to the original, which is still OK, but it fails to have the depth as that of the original.

Aditya/ Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) lands at Mumbai Railway Station and that is where his first eye contact with Tara (Sharddha Kapur) happens who was standing on a different platform and appears to be troubled. Adi is a video game developer, who is in the process of making a breakthrough game. Coincidence brings Adi and Tara together in front of each other and both of them get amazed to explore that they are almost similar to each other, both of them happy-go-lucky people, both not believing in marriage, both not wanting to commit in relationship etc. Their friendship blossom, but a spark of a special relationship is silently handled and definitely felt right from the very beginning. Both of them are focused as far as their career is concerned, Tara wants to go to Paris to pursue her architect course whereas Adi dreams to be a rich man like Mark Zuckerberg and settle in USA. As is the trend in the films offlate, both want to just enjoy the togetherness, love, laughter minus any commitments, possessiveness, drama. Both have similar opinion about marriage that they don't want to fall in the trap of marriage. They decide to enter into live-in relationship before heading to pursue their careers abroad separately. They chose to stay with a old couple Gopi and Charu played by Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson (Leela played the same role in Tamil too). They happen to witness this couple enjoying 50 years of togetherness in marriage. What happens next is very much predictable.

Aditya-Shraddha are likable, look good together, but that is not sufficient. They are unable to regenerate the chemistry of Dulquer- Nithya. The movie picks up when Naseeruddin Shah – Leela Samson come on screen, they do add depth to the film. As the lead pair wanted no drama in their relationship, the film also lacks drama, twists and turns.

Music by AR Rahman is disappointing. Songs are not synchronized with the script appropriately. Even the energy of Humma Humma song is missing. Dialogues are very much ordinary.

OK Jaanu lacks the flow, passion and magic of its original version O Kathal Kanmani but certainly has to offer one-time watch simple story for those who haven't watched the original. Contradictory to one of the punchline used in its posters – 'Love can surprise you', it does not surprise you. A one-time watch.

it was such a waste of my time and insult to our generation's intelligence. use your money, resources and power to create some beautiful, deep and intelligent movies inspired by real life stories.
i am disappointed. please don't put such garbage in public's imagination and don't validate this kind of unreal, stupid and mindless choices that shrink public's intelligence. why are our movies inspiring youth to drink and have sex with any stranger they meet at a club with no damaging consequences? just pure nonsense, pure junk.
if you have no other inspiration to create an original creative movie, watch crime patrol everyday, its production is much more real, in depth and in touch with the true challenges youth, children, families and community face everyday.

I loved Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho & My Name Is Khan. But then there were Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Student of the Year & Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Headache.
The first half of the film has nothing happening. The director is rich & so are the characters. So they roam around lip-synching famous Hindi film songs and dialogues, somewhere foreshadowing the arriving of SRK. You meet at a party and start kissing - that's Hollywood. You meet someone in a different country and start speaking Hindi at your very first conversation - that's BS. The first half is all about these two idiots running around different places. The second half takes pace but then again, from the story POV, there is nothing new. Nothing. It's a shame that some celebrities are praising the film (maybe to be in the good books of the director). Yes, some of the songs are good & the lyrics are beautiful too. But nothing else is. What is the use of going to New York or any other place and staying in a room to write your next screenplay when it turns out to be so distasteful? Anushka and Ranbir are good in their parts. Ash is wasted & made to show how beautiful she still is rather than how good she can act. It's a shame that the lead actors who can act brilliantly have to act in such films with bad plot lines.
The film gave me such a headache that I had to go to a bookstore to calm myself down.

Watch it at your own risk!!

Yes again Karan Johar does not disappoint at making crappy movies! He outperformed himself yet again with same old wannabe shabby movie. He has no sense of movie making yet people watch his shyt (this is the last time I have wasted my money & time)!
It's high time public reject such useless directors whose only name for fame is that they are well connected and son's of some film personality. Tired of watching Ranbir and Anushka doing same type of roles. These wannabe Hollywood type Boollywood dumbos are the worst.
If you have nothing to do in life and decide to watch this movie! Take some headache removal pills with you! After student of the year and many such crop movies this is yet another headache from johar!

SRK is now officially back....First Fan and now Dear Zindagi

Let me get this straight this is one of the best movies of year..
If an actor is making commercial movies more often than there comes a time in his life when audience get sick of his usual attitude towards selection of script. Then the actor starts to realize that now time has come to let everyone know that he got some acting skills. This was the situation of Shah Rukh Khan. His last few movies were all commercial with Fan being an exception. It was his time to return and shut all of his critics. But man o man how did he comeback.Truly sensational.
Now let's get back to movie.
Preview(No spoilers): Movie is about a girl who is desperate who is fighting all the hardships of life. Her on again off again love life until she meets this middle aged psychiatrist Jehangir which teaches her how to be free, how to say no to life, how to live it in your own way.
Direction:As everybody here knows that movie's director is Gauri Shinde. She debuted with English Vinglish which was both commercial and critical success. This is Gauri's second directorial venture and she totally nailed it.Movie is almost as flawless as it gets.I rarely found a glitch in it.Indeed the movie shows her hard work.
Acting:As movie's mainly focused on Alia Bhatt's character so let's first discuss her. She gives her truly best and her character was brought to life by her.She is god gifted and has a lot of talent. This girl will surely go a long way in her career. And then there is Shah Rukh Khan.I actually watched this movie because of him.Earlier this year his Fan was released. The movie didn't do well on Box Office but was a really great movie and SRK nailed both the characters.Like Fan he was the main highlight of the Dear Zindagi too.His sarcasm his cuteness and above all his acting in this movie is absolutely out of the world. As he faced a lot of criticism for Dilwal,Happy New Year,Chennai Express etc but now he is back to shut all of his critics.
Cinematography:Movie does well in this section too.It was interesting how the story progressed with time.
Story:Story is as simple as it gets and yet very complicated. It was very thought provoking. It changes the way you look at your life at your destiny.Story is pure work of class and hard work put in by Gauri Shinde.
Overall:Overall the movie is very likable.Even hours later of watching it it stayed on top of my mind.
Pros:+Shah Rukh back to his best.
+Great and flawless story.
+Cinematography
+All the hard work put in by whole team
Cons:None that I can find.
At the end I strongly recommend it to everyone to go and watch this movie. Its one in a million type of movie.Don't miss it

Ultimate triumph

Director Mr. Nitesh Tiwari work is so brilliant that after few minutes, you just forget that you are watching film. You simply start witnessing the journey of Phogat's family. Makers are so confident that they have even given credit for story idea to Divya Rao, which reflects their honesty. She is not in writing team but gets her due credit. There are four writers, Director himself, Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain and Nikhil Mehrotra and their work is fantastic. Screenplay is seamless and very balanced with much needed freshness. Film starts with glimpse of Mahavir Singh Phogat's passion for wrestling, while watching and challenging another district level arrogant winner, while commentary comes over on them which is fresh. When that person gets defeated he says 'Tumne district level pehlawan ko haraya hai' Then Mahavir Singh replies ' Tension mat le, tum national level champion se hare ho'. Words may be a bit different but meaning was same. Which gives strong idea that what level of dialogues you are going to listen and they have maintained the graph. Dialogues just nourish your senses, inducing correct emotions. A simple scene where protagonist massages feet of his sleeping daughter, clearly reflects that he is just not a ruthless coach but a caring father too. Girls curse their father in front of their friend who is getting married, then that girl emotional words about her feeling towards their caring father is very cute, emotional and enough to make girls realize that what they are taking for granted. Best part of this film is it's continues ascending graph in every aspect. First half is cute, funny with subtle dose of emotions. Second half takes this graph to the horizon. Full of emotions, either it is of defeat, victory or relations. Another major plus point is the way they have shown wrestling. I dint know a bit of it but I enjoyed all wrestling matches like it was my favorite game and that is major chunk of film. Hats off to the team behind wresting choreography .Though you have basic idea of film happenings but still they kept you engrossed by presentation. Climax comes with a very strong message that one can train you but only you have to implement the techniques, which makes you true winner and enriches self confident. Performance makes you thunderstruck. Words can not justify or compliment, Amir Khan's performance as Mahavir Singh Phogat. Zaira Waseem as younger Geeta is brilliant. She is so good that when Fatima Sana Sheikh takes over as grown up Geeta, you miss younger one but soon Fatima proves that she has taken the graph far ahead. Same happens with younger Babita played by Suhani Bhatnagar and grown up by Sanya Malhotra. Skashi Tanwar as wife of Mahavir Singh is very good. Girish Kulkarni , who had played coach is superb, you do hate his character but love his performance. Actor, who played younger cousin of Geeta and even grown up one, both actors are cute and endearing. Kudos to casting director Mukesh Chhabra and team. Music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, are integral part of this film. Without any formulated track you just enjoy every song and your eyes get mois in one too.

Kaabil is all-heart and will leave remain with you for long. :-) Intense, gripping revenge-thriller....A unique blend of emotions-joy,love,revenge.Kaabil will win hearts.Movie sends a strong message:..Do not challenge the challenged..
Hrithik Roshan, playing the role of a blind dubbing-artiste Rohan Bhatnagar-has delivered one of his career-best performances....He falls in love with Supriya,a blind pianist played by Yami.In spite of darkness, their love brightens their lives. When tragedy strikes,Hrithik sets out for revenge seeking vendetta. The cat and mouse game between Rohan and the menacing villains will keep you glued to your seats..
Kaabil is rich with excellent performances from the entire cast.Hrithik steals the show with his stunning act and screen-presence.His transformation from an innocent lover to a revenge seeker will leave you spell-bound.The easiness with which Hrithik mimics Amitabh Bachchan is a joy to watch.Yami played her role effortlessly....Villains Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy,senior cop Narendra Jha too deserves special mention.
BGM and songs are high on emotions...Rajesh Ji recreated his old magical melody...Kaabil is visually stunning..beautiful Cinematography and sharp editing..Mon Amour really stands out for its excellent choreography...Dialogues by Sanjay Masoomm are power-packed-Sensational dialogues during the final 10 minutes before interval turned the theater to a stadium...Action scenes designed by Sham Kaushal and PeterHein are outstanding...Sound mixing by Resul Pookutty is top-notch.
Experience Kaabil....it makes you smile, love, cry, feel helpless and finally leaves a smile on your face.
